DIY - Make a plant hanger for your Magical Hydrangea
Your Magical deserves to reach great heights, don't you think? With this very easy step-by-step craft project you can make a plant hanger out of rope. It doesn't require much, so get stuck in!
What you need for a plant hanger:
- A small Magical Hydrangea with a pot size of 10.5 centimetres.
- A plant pot about 12-14 centimetres in diameter, with no hole in the bottom.
- A 3.5 metre length of cotton rope in your favourite colour.
- A hook in your ceiling.
- A love of nature and crafting.
DIY plant hanger step-by-step plan
- Fold the rope in half and make a sturdy loop at the folded end. This serves as the hanging point.
- Fasten the loose ends of the rope at equal distances from each other using a simple loop or macramé technique. This creates the 'net' in which the pot will hang. Watch the video below for a detailed explanation of this step.
- Fill the pot with potting soil and carefully place the Magical Hydrangea in the pot. Lightly press the soil so that the plant is standing firmly.
- Place the pot in the net of ropes and bring the loose ends of the rope together. Make sure the pot is well-balanced before hanging it up.
Magical Hydrangea care tip
Hang the pot in a spot where the Hydrangea gets enough light, but not in direct sunlight. This will keep the plant beautiful and healthy for longer! Water the plant once or twice a week, depending on how warm your Magical is up there in the air.
